We manufacture timber and plywood crates using materials sourced from sustainable suppliers and we are fully ISO accredited. Our timber material is heat treated to ISPM15 and can be shipped worldwide without import restriction or customs and excise delays.

Trojan Crates Ltd has full ISO 9001-2015, ISO 14001-2015 & OHSAS 45001 accreditation which demonstrates our commitment to customer service and our quality products. We are also a fully registered member of the Forestry Commission (TIMCON).
Our products are supplied to ISPM15 standard ensuring that they are safe and suitable for transporting goods abroad.

In addition to thoughtful business practices, we have an effective socially aware program, where we replant the trees consumed by out timber usage via wood recycling or the reuse of material waste in our production process. All these programs are a key element in Trojan Crates Limited’s drive for a cleaner environment. Annual benchmarks and goals are established for each of our manufacturing facilities in Aberdeen, Scotland and these are measured periodically.

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS

Green Design

Our designers, engineers and woodworkers, build, as much is feasible sustainable products. Our customers can choose from a variety of recommended hardware components to suit their specific needs. High reusability is accomplished by designing interiors that allow for easy installation and de-installation of our products while at the same time properly securing and protecting our clients goods, equipment and tools, during transit. 

We know that the proper design of our timber crates can minimise material usage and scrap and our 3D/Product Designers have the experience and knowledge to create designs that minimise outside dimensions and weight for reduced shipping costs and fuel usage. ​

Recycling

Trojan Crates Limited follows an aggressive recycling program for its waste stream. All our scrap wood is recycled into our fuel burners that heat our manufacturing plants or contributed to https://fowr.org.uk. Friends of Wood Recyclability is a charity based organisation helping adults with additional support needs by providing a place where they are treated with respect and have opportunities to make true friends and learn skills.

Environmental Policy ISO 14001-2015

The company recognise that in our process operations, we inevitably impact on the environment and thus are committed to minimise the potentially harmful effects of such operations wherever possible.

To confirm the above commitment, company management has developed a comprehensive Policy Statement, appropriate to our operations. This policy enables us to set objectives towards sustainable environmental improvement which can be measured and monitored regularly and in turn contribute to prevention of pollution and future protection of the environment.

All employees are encouraged to understand and implement the objectives of this policy in their day to day work through regular discussion, communication and, if, required training.
The management team has a specific responsibility for policy development, co-ordination and evaluation of these performances.

The company is committed to minimising the impact of its operations on the environment and by means of a programme of continual improvement is committed to:

          - Consumption of materials in all operations, re-use rather than dispose wherever possible, and to promote re-cycling and the use of re-cycled materials.

          - Whenever and wherever practicable, within the company, the level of pollution and harmful emissions.

Regular reviews and monitoring of environmental performance will be carried out to ensure our environmental objectives and targets as described above are maintained at all times.
